My impression and perception of the current Chairman of Danmusa Local Government Area, Mallam Garba Salmanu which was acquired from long experience through close contact and interaction, is that the chairman is quite a gentleman. He listens to the people and attends to their yearnings and aspirations. There is no yardstick to quantify the numerous developments recorded in the Local Government through his untiring efforts and dedication to the betterment of people's welfare. Mallam is a silent achiever. Most of these projects that are transforming people’s lives are not known outside the area. This is the only publication of this nature and it is a welcome development.
Of all the past leaders, Mallam has no equal in terms of developing Danmusa Local Government Area. He is always around and available to listen to complains, attend to them and generally interacts with the people. His untiring efforts at assisting people even from other Local Government Areas, and the people to nicknamed him "Baya goya Marayu" i.e "the back that gives comfort to the orphans". Orphans here refer to the needy and the weak, not necessarily those without parent. Mallam help all.
Running the Local Government particularly Local Government like Danmusa is a great challenge. A challenged in the sense that people throughout the Local Government have high expectations and hopes.
Nonetheless, I found the job, very interesting, rewarding and challenging more especially to a person who acquired cast life experience.
Both the Vice Chairman and Secretary to the Local Government are part and parcel of the development of Danmusa Local Government collectively form the instruments of rapid achievement in th Local Government. I cannot also forget the contribution the elected Councilors are giving to the administration through passing useful bills and bringing useful and meaningful projects from their wards to the council. These achievements were made possible because of the good advice provided by the council leader Alhaji Ibrahim Mu'azu.
It is fair to mention here the contributions our traditional rules are making towards the development of the Local Government. These are no other persons than the District Head of 'Yantumaki Alhaji Atiku Maidabino Sarkin Fulani Dangi and District head of Danmusa Alhaji Abu Abubakar Magajin Mallam Katsina.
I cannot end this remarks without thanking His Excellency the executive Governor of Katsina State Alhaji Ibrahim Shema, as well as the Commander in chief President of Federal Republic of Nigeria Alhaji Ummaru Musa Yar'adua Matallen Katsina for his good leadership, his exemplary style.
In short, this is what this publication tries to portray to those who are not opportune to visit the Local Government and see practically what we have achieved within the short period we are in office.
